Charity Star Gazing

🕰️Time: from 8pm, welcome talk at 8.30pm. Finish time approx.10pm


🗺️ Location: The Food Hub Cookery School, Bellwell Lane, Debenham, IP14 6JX. What 3 words - twin.imparting.dilute


🎟️ Tickets: £10 per person, includes a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows. ALL proceeds go to the Alfie Carpenter Fund 


⭐️ About the evening: Renowned Astronomer Tom Boles will be teaching us about the stars. Tom has been president of the British Astronomy Association and has over 50 years of experience with stars and galaxies He is known for having discovered a record number of supernovae. The main-belt asteroid 7648 Tomboles is named in his honour.


❓How it will work: Please save the date. On the afternoon of the event, we will update our website and social media channels to let you know if the event is going ahead. By this point we should have a fair idea if the weather is going to be kind to us! Tickets are not sold in advance, simply arrive and buy your ticket on the farm gate. 


🥾 Please bring VERY warm clothing, a chair (this is essential) a torch, practical footwear, binoculars and or a telescope if you have one!

Open Farm Sunday

We are excited to be opening our farm as part of the LEAF initiative on Sunday 9th June and combining it with our successful food fair. Come and find out what happens behind the scenes at Kenton Hall farm, see our tractors, and learn about agriculture and the farm environment! Our FREE event will feature a Farmers’ Market, Tractor and Trailer rides, Pop-up tea-room & Hot food, Machinery Area, Meet the animals, Donkey rides and Alpaca walking and much more…

This event is free to attend but please register below, to help us plan for appropriate numbers.

OPEN FARM SUNDAY FAQ’s

What is the entry fee?

Free! There is no entry free. There will be a registration tent upon arrival to sign in.

What time does the event run?

10am – 3pm

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but dogs need to be kept on lead at all times and please ensure you pick up after your dog.

Do you have disabled facilities?

Disabled parking is available for blue badges holders. There is an equipped disabled WC within the Food Hub.

What should I wear?

Please come suitably dressed for the weather, with decent shoes/boots for walking as there will be some uneven ground.

We are sorry to announce that our star gazing event cannot go ahead due to poor weather conditions. Tom has advised that the sky would not be clear enough and there is threat of rain! We will let you know about future dates and fingers crossed for the next one!
