Sue Hudson of Bread Workshops is passionate about the importance of a good, healthy diet using the best possible ingredients. Sue teaches the craft of artisan bread making. A passionate bread baker, Sue knows that the best way to learn is the ‘hands on’ approach, using quality locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, ensuring that her new bakers will dispel the myth that making bread is difficult.

Course Details

Whether you are completely new to sourdough, or want to know the secret behind baking successful sourdough bread then this course is the perfect place to get started and get hands-on feedback. Working with sourdough can be a difficult skill to master, but with the help of baker Sue Hudson, you’ll be creating brilliant sourdough loaves in no time. You’ll be guided through choosing the right ingredients, kneading and shaping the dough and how to get the right results in the oven. This workshop is designed to take away your fears and show you how you can make successful sourdough in your kitchen at home. You will fearlessly bake two loaves during the day, create your own sourdough starter and start a loaf to finish at home.

The course will run from 10.30am until 4pm and include a light lunch and tea/coffee refreshments. This course will be a fully hands on experience and include all the ingredients, equipment, refreshments and recipes for the day.
