Cranberry Sauce Recipe

  1. 200g sugar
  2. 250ml water
  3. 340g fresh cranberries
  4. 100g blanched almonds
  1. Put the water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over a high heat.
  2. Stir your mixture until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Add the cranberries to the pot and bring it back up to a boil.
  4. Then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until most of the cranberries have burst.
  5. Once the cranberries have burst, mix in the blanched almonds.
  6. Remove the pan from heat and allow the mix to cool completely at room temperature. Then transfer the sauce to a bowl and leave to chill in the refrigerator.
  7. The cranberry sauce will continue to thicken as it cools, creating a perfectly thick, chunky cranberry sauce. Place in a dish and serve with your perfect Christmas roast!
