Christmas Mulled Cyder Recipe

  1. 2 litres Aspalls cyder
  2. 4 tablespoons soft brown sugar
  3. 6 cloves
  4. 3 star anise
  5. ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  6. 1 cinnamon stick
  7. 1 vanilla pod, halved
  8. 1 orange , juice of
  9. 2 clementines , juice of
  10. 1 pomegranate , juice and seeds
  1. Pour the cider into a large pan and warm on a low heat for a few minutes.
  2. Add all the spices and juices to the pan and turn the heat up to bring it to the boil.
  3. Once boiling, turn back down to a simmer and leave for 5–8 minutes, this will take the edge off the spices and give time for the flavours to infuse.
  4. Taste it and add sugar as you like, but remember is shouldn't be sweet.
  5. When you’re happy with the flavours, ladle into glasses or mugs and serve warm.
